This is a hand pulled original print featuring a Black Bison beneath a yellow shooting star. I designed and carved the two images into a rubber block, then inked and pressed each print on high quality paper. On the back, you’ll find the print number and my signature.
The Bison is close to my heart as a Kansan. They are powerful, wise history keepers. They guard the plains and are intrinsically attuned to the environment, giving them wisdom and memory. Patient and often standoffish, they are quick to rush any perceived threat to young. In spite of deep wounds and loss through their history, they remain present in the prairie grasses under immense skies.
The inking of the stamp, the pressure of my hand on the press, all create one of a kind print images. Therefor you may not receive a print that looks exactly like the one pictured. Your art will come in a protective sealed cello bag. Suitable to hang on a wall with a bulldog clip, hanger frame or can be matted and framed traditionally. Items pictured with print are not included.
